We Are A Band Like Pluto Is A Planet

So, if you’ve been wondering (you’ve probably been wondering) what in the world is going on with Rejectioneers, I may have some answers!

Before I give you an update on what we’ve been doing this summer, please rest assured that we are working toward playing shows and releasing an album. In the mean time, I will be announcing upcoming solo shows and trying to release some live videos and some random unreleased songs as well as pulling out some old photos and fliers just for fun!

I know you don’t want to hear our excuses, but they’re good… I promise!

So, as you all know, when this band reformed, we brought on some heavy hitters. With guys like Christian Tyler, Josh Kean, Brandon Kean, & Kenny McWilliams, it’s hard for me to demand their time, but it’s totally worth the wait!

Families:
Christian, Kenny, & I have beautiful wives that we love dearly. Kenny & I also each have a child. Our families come first. If it comes down to spending time with our families in the middle of a busy week or recording/practicing, we’re going to pick family.

Jobs:
We’re all tied up with work. As much as we have very demanding financial responsibilities we are required to work demanding jobs. Kenny’s job is the most demanding. With hours that constantly fluctuate, it’s impossible to have a consistent schedule for practicing and recording. It’s especially hard considering the fact that recording is his job!

Life:
When we took on this project, we all knew the demands of our day to day life. Brandon & Josh have spent a lot of time out of town this summer. What can you do when your whole rhythm section is gone? It’s next to impossible to get 5 guys to have the same night available to devote to making this music. Don’t get me wrong, we love doing it. We’re probably (definitely) more disappointed than you are.

What This Means:
Now that the summer is over, we’re regrouping and trying to figure out how to get back in the swing of things. We have an EP to finish. As soon as the EP is ready for release our goal is to start playing shows. We have no aspirations of being the next big thing, but we do want to be a band that plays shows and releases albums.

Thanks for sticking it out with us. We love you guys. We’re doing this for us first, but we’re doing it for you too!

Our Recent Progress

Progress

Hey everyone. If you’ve been keeping up with us over the past several months then you know we’ve been flying under the radar. That doesn’t mean that we haven’t be doing anything. It actually means the opposite. We’ve been focusing all of our energies on getting these songs ready for YOU! We’re definitely close to releasing our debut EP, but we’ve got to make sure it’s right. Thanks for your patience.

While you guys are waiting, feel free to ask us some questions or just say hey. We love you guys and can’t wait to get out there. Great things are in store. In the meantime, check out what our friends are doing: All Get Out, Scene SC, & Archer Avenue Studio.
